7:07am – I’ve still got a quiche to make! That and coffee, then I’ll begin reading.
8:19 – I’ve made a quiche. That is all. Cheering for now, because I think if I try to read I may fall asleep.
9:19 – Ate some quiche, did a little cheering, and now I’m settling in to read for a little while.
11:09 – Don’t fall asleep on your Kindle. The bedroom is cold and I’m curled up in a pile of blankets. Smoke moves quickly, but isn’t catching my interest right now so I’m switching to something else.
12:21pm – Poetry was a good idea. James Ragan’s “Too Long a Solitude” is great. My favorite is easily the last poem in the collection, for Debora, “Sometimes”.
12:54 – Cheered a little more, took care of some behind the scenes captaining (what a weird word) stuff, and I’m going to wait around for the next hour to check out some mini-challenges. Later this afternoon I plan on making these pumpkin bars.
5:07 – Since I last checked in there was one tiny, accidental nap, and several more pages read. And lunch. About a quarter of the way through with Smoke. Eh. I’m not sure about this one. I’ll finish it, but it’s not my favorite. I can’t decide if it’s one of the POVs I don’t like (Jackie) or the whole thing. It’s been a while since I read the first one and I’d forgotten some of the events that preceded this book. Took a break from that to start A Storm of Swords and I’m flying through that, as fast as a person flies through GRRM.
7:49 – Anne Sexton’s Love Poems. Yowza. Spent some time cheering earlier. Had some chocolate. Having a marvelous time!

Taking things pretty slowly today. I just finished a couple of books earlier this week and I’m well ahead schedule to meet my goal to read 50 books this year, so I’m just going to enjoy things and take whatever break (NAPS) I need.

4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Not real interruptions, just me and my own poor decisions 
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? I’ve felt less rushed about this one. I don’t know what that’s all about. And I’ve done WAY more cheering early on than I anticipated.
